Friday Night

Friday is my favourite day, i'm sure it's yours too!...

Today is rather special. Kill la Kill finally finished and i'm still in bliss, all i can say is bloody watch it if you haven't already. It is the BEST anime i have ever seen. It tops pretty much everything in my opinion! It's one of a kind, unique... amazing.

Also i totally went insane when i found out this year they are releasing an anime adaption of Kiseijuu (Parasyte), a '90s manga, i own all the volumes and have always hoped one day it would have an anime. So as you can guess i'm really excited for this :3

Coming up this year too are:

Sword Art Online 2
Log Horizon 2
Free! 2
Psycho Pass 2 (a huge favourite)
Mushishi 2 (i love this one <3)
Kuroshitsuji (Book of Circus & Book of Murder) (only problem there is no Grell ;( )
Soul Eater Not! (a side story of Soul Eater)
...and many more new and otherwise!

New Anime of Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)!

Just when i was having a bad day this popped up on my newsfeed! I'm so excited right now :D As you know this is one of my absolute favourite animes of all time.

The cover of the February issue of Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine is announcing on Saturday that production on a new anime series adapting Yana Toboso's Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) manga has been green-lit.
The live-action film adaptation of the manga is also opening on Saturday, and the 18th volume is shipping in Japan on the same day as well.
The manga debuted in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasymagazine in 2006, and its 17 volumes thus far have nearly 18 million copies in print, including those published in 42 countries and territories. The manga already inspired a television anime series in 2008 and a stage play in 2009. A second television series followed in 2010 with a new butler and master. The manga won the top prize in the shōnen manga category of France's Japan Expo Awards in 2010 and the Best International Manga Award in Germany's Animagic in 2011.
- Took from animenewsnetwork.com.

I really hope the story this time will be taken from the manga, if not i'm sure Yana-sensei will come up with something amazing! Also the live action movie will be a good watch (even though apparently Grell isn't in it *cry*).

My Recommendations for the Season

Heya peeps! Just letting you know what i think is awesome Anime-wise this season [fall]...

Watching:

Kill la Kill

As i've said in my earlier post... this is totally amazing.. i love it! :)

Fan service for both guys and girls.. what more could you ask for :3

I recommend everyone give this a shot.... :)

Log Horizon

If you love Sword Art Online you will surely love this one.

Set in a virtual game MMORPG world, Log Horizon has a few flaws but is still very much watchable...

Strike the Blood

I'm still not quite sure what to think of this one. It kind of reminds me of  Blood Lad a bit.

If you love action with a little romance on the side then definitely watch this one.

Coppelion

Post apocalyptic scenery: check. Awesome looking heroins: check. Brilliant story: a flop.... seriously i was looking forward to this :( it had so much potential and i'm sure most otakus would agree with me... maybe if you like weak stories and over the top emotional characters....

... the choice is yours.

Luckily it's only 13 episodes long....

Unbreakable Machine-Doll

Haven't been keeping up with this one, although the story seems pretty interesting....

Puppeteers... sounds good to me :)

Now i know there are loads more Anime out there this season... and i will probably look though them, this is just the list of ones i'm watching at the moment... apart from these ones are: D-gray Man and ofc Naruto Shippuden...

I will write a proper review within the week! :)

For now i leave you with my favourite anime of the season: Kill la Kill

*Enough spoilers.... go watch!*

It's funny, sometimes naughty and damn right awesome... but everyone has their tastes i guess ^^ (personally i love it!).

Summer...

I hate summer... mainly because i live in an insanely hot country .. so what anime have i been watching/plan to watch you ask? Well apart from Naruto Shippuden............

Aku No Hana

I completed this the other day. Don't let the first few eps put you off. In fact, it is rather a clever psychological anime with a rather strange style of animation.

8/10

Blood Lad

Recently aired i was waiting for this one for ages! The story grasped me straight away and after reading a bit of the manga i thought, why not?

So far i would give it an 8/10.

Bleach (yes, i've finally started watching it :3)

So after starting Naruto Shippuden i thought why not watch Bleach too. After two seasons of it i am not disappointed. The shinigami captains are just as awesome as akatsuki. :3

9/10

Date A Live

Haven't started this one yet, although i have heard some good things about it. Looks interesting.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge

I almost laughed at the story of this one. Dude with a strange pair of scissors... right. Anyway, i don't leave any anime untouched nowadays. Get back to you when i've watched it!

Free!

A load of anime guys in skimpy swim wear... yes please! I guess thats the only reason i'm gonna watch it so far :3... lets see if the story is good too!

Gatchaman Crowds

The reason i chose this anime was because it's made by the same people who did C, one of my favourite anime. Starting today and i'm sure as hell gonna watch it :)

Hataraku Maou-sama!

This one seems very interesting. From the high scores people are giving it to the story which seems rather cool. I will hopefully be watching it during the summer.

Karneval

I've watched one episode of this so far and i'm not sure what to think. It seems a bit steampunkish. I guess the story will progress a bit more but so far it still has my interest.

Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

Now i would be surprised if you haven't heard of this one. Mostly every otaku has been watching this the past few months. In my opinion it is one of the most awesome anime out there. It deserves to have it's highscore of 9/10...

I give it 10/10 so far... i cannot find any flaws!

Suisei No Gargantia

Haven't started this yet. Looks like a standard mecha anime to me. Although i have heard some people think it's better than Shingeki no Kyojin! We will see...

Uta No Prince Sama 2000%

I absolutely loved the first season of this. Even though part-musicals aren't really my thing it had a big impact on me.

Cannot wait to watch this!!!

So there's my list! What are you watching this summer?! :3

Hisashiburi desu...

It's been too long since i posted. That's because now i have completed over 100 Anime. :)

I have stopped being stubborn and gave in to finally watching Naruto.. and yes, now i am hopelessly addicted to it... lesson of the year: give everything a try :3 I have now learnt enough Japanese to have small conversations with (yey me!)... this year so far has been a blast!

I can't name and review every Anime i have been watching lately but i would like to point out a few amazing ones, ones that you cannot miss, and a small list of upcoming ones.

Psycho-Pass

From the very first episode this sucked me in. Totally unique idea and fantastic to say the least.

Only finishing this year, Psycho-Pass is definitely one of my top favourites.

If you like action, mind twisting and futuristic Anime then this is for you!

MegStatic's rating: 10/10

Kara no Kyoukai

Now this gem is quite different. It consists of 7 episodes that are more like movies (40mins-2hs). The timeline of them is rather confusing at first but don't give up after the first episode!

Part magical, part mystery.. very dark and disturbing at times.. but absolutely brilliant.

MegStatic's rating: 9/10 (average of all 7)

And finally i take back all my nasty words to say Naruto is actually awesome! The characters are so loveable (apart from Sasuke >.>) and a simply amazing storyline. I have only watched the original so far, with 9 movies and all of Shippuden to go :).

Oh and lately i have been buying a ton of manga (pic below):

Be sure to glance at my list and such, i'm always looking for fellow otakus!!!

Shampoo Dream

I have not been lazy if that's what you are thinking...

This month some excellent games have come out (aka. Dead Space III) :3 and after watching Six Feet Under, which you MUST watch, if soooo good, i have not been doing much else. I tried to start a few more Anime series and read as much Manga as i could. Since i can't list them all i suggest you take a look at my list.

My new years resolution was to finish everything on that list anyway, so i'm starting now! :3

A few new Anime that i have started watching:

(my favourite seiyu, Fukuyama Jun <3) Lelouch & Grell

kawaii chars, not sure on the story yet

I Am A Hero

I decided to take a break for a while... not from Anime/Manga but from writing O_O.

So.. i introduce to you this amazing gem of a Manga. I am a Hero, yes it does start off slow but after reading 100+ chapters now this is one of my favourites.

What is it about you ask?... zombies! and not just any zombies... a unique take on a pandemic virus. The zombies are fast, super deadly and can even mutter a few words ( who'd of thought?!).

Still not completed, and hopefully not for a long time, with quite a different art style and bloody scary/realistic zombies.

I recommend this one to all zombie fans like myself! :3 Enjoy!

More here.

New Manga!

So recently i've become to love Manga, thanks to Kuroshitsuji, that i blasted through in a few days. It made me want to read more and more. Here is a small list of what i'm reading at the moment.

Apocalypse no Toride

One word: Zombies! As a huge fan of anything zombie i find this manga rather appealing. It's quite new, this year, and so far only 7 chapters long.

Frightening, compelling with a whole lot of suspense  You don't wanna give this a miss. Not recommended for our younger audience though..

Deadman Wonderland

Being a fan of the Anime i thought i would continue with reading this. The story goes on in the prison of Deadman Wonderland. Will Ganta and Shiro ever escape?

Over 50 chapters and counting. Gory as ever and still just as good.

Gantz

If you know me you will know this is one of my favourite Animes. I decided to read this because the Anime just stops, it never really did have a proper ending.

The Manga continues with more aliens, more tense bits than ever before and with around 350 chapters, you can't stop reading it.

Just one word of advice, this Manga has lots of blood and violence, it's rather disturbing so if you don't like that stuff just give it a miss.

Psyren

Now this one i bought the first volume for my last birthday, not really knowing what it was or if it was good. I don't regret that at all, in fact it was one of the best buys i ever made with Manga.

The story is definitely unique and from what i've seen extremely popular. I'm not surprised! It's well worth a read no matter what genre of Manga you prefer.

145 chapters.

Blame!

This Manga is rather strange but good nonetheless.

In a post-apocalyptic world way way underground. Fighting with cyborgs and strange creatures. With not much dialogue too, it's still amazing.

The scenery, the eeriness... just creepy. But i still will recommend this if you want a change of pace.

Finished with 66 chapters.

Kuroshitsuji

Last of all my number one favourite, Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). I seriously can't get enough of this Manga, just like its Anime counterpart it's amazing!

The only downside i have with it is that Grell should be in it a bit more *_*.

Still this is in my opinion the best Manga/Anime out there. 76 chapters and counting! :3
