New Season, New Anime!

And so we're in autumn!
I've been focusing too much on my YouTube channel and i should be here with you guys! :D

It's finally October, my favourite month of the year. Halloween, new games (Alien:Isolation, gad damn it's awesomeness :3) and new anime!

I have found one of the best animes out there.. seriously, if you haven't watched this you are missing out!

HUNTER x HUNTER (2011)

I must say this anime has totally changed my life. It has the perfect setting, characters, story... everything!
It is not that well known though, which is madness. How could people miss this?

It only ended a few weeks ago with 148 episodes. I'm only half way through it but i had to spread the word.

If you like anime with tension, funniness, lots of fights, the odd sad bit and lots of whoop-ass then go watch it!

It has 9/10 score for a reason you know! ;)

I flipping love Hisoka <3... so smexy.

I also recently started watching:

Kuroko no Basket

I don't normally watch sports Anime but after Free i decided to be more open minded. So i stumbled upon this one...

It's really quite awesome!

Totally worth the watch and i will be looking out for more.

As for this season my personal choices:

Kiseijuu (Parasyte)

I own all the manga volumes of this since last year and flipping loved it.

When i heard there was gunna be an anime adaption of it i literally flew of my seat screaming with joy (an oversight but go read for yourselves).
Yesterday the very first episode aired and it was amazing!

The only things that shouldn't of changed were Shinichi's glasses (wtf he didn't need them, nor did have any) Murano's hair and Migi's voice. Ok i get they had to modernize it but the graphics are just plain everyday anime nothing special like they should be.

Anyway... i still love it and i cannot wait for the next episode!

Log Horizon II

It's back! I really enjoyed Log Horizon. It was simple yet enjoyable and would really work as a real MMORPG :P

I suggest if you haven't watched the first season you should. Also if you enjoyed SAO, hack/sign or btoom! then you will defo enjoy this one.

Let's just hope it lives up to the first season. :3

Psycho Pass II

Now if you've read my blog you will know that Psycho Pass is in my top 10 and for a very good reason too.

The first season blew me away. It's everything you'd want in a mystery/detective/sci fi futuristic anime.

With Makishima out of the picture and Kogami missing i wonder if this will be just as good if not better....

Episode 1 proved it still can be bloody awesome.

Terra Formars

Now i read the description of this and it intimidately went on my list.
Mutant humanoid cockroaches vs mankind.. on Mars?!?! Holy cow now that is something different.

The OVA came first and it was pretty decent but then came the Anime. Now a lot of people have been rating this quite badly... personally i give an Anime between 3-5 episodes before giving it a score. Who knows it could change and i really hope so too.

Also this autumn is:

Mushishi Zoku Shou II

Mushishi was one of my first Anime so it's always been rather special to me.

Zoku Shou was aired around spring time and it really delivered so i'm hoping this will be a fitting end to it.

Airing: 19th of October.

Some other interesting finds:

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)

I really like the concept of this one, i read a bit of the manga too and i think it's special.

Airing next year in January i really hope this one pulls it out the bag!

Really looking forward to seeing Koro-sensei :p

Naruto Shippuden Movie 7

Since the manga is finishing in a few weeks and you know how i love Naruto i though this deserved a mention.

I really hope it will be a fitting end to the series!

With everyone fully grown up and hopefully an amazing story too...

Feels like i've been writing for ages :3 I do hope you have enjoyed my post. Arigato minna san!

Something Special (2 year anniversary!!)

It's a few days early but this is rather special for me. Partially for the two year anniversary of this blog and partly because i have finally created my very own youtube gaming channel.

I've been avidly watching PewDiePie, Markiplier and JackSepticEye for months now, they have given me that extra boost of confidence per say. :)

If you love games like i do you should check out my channel: MegStatic

As for Anime, i think i have covered this season. Although, new surprises keep popping up.

If you are looking for a good site which lists Anime per season then you should look at this:

AniChart

I want to say thank you to all the people who have come across my blog, also those who found it helpful ^^
Oh and here is a special wallpaper i made yesterday for all the Grell fan-girls like myself! :3

Summer Breeze

I hate summer in this country. Too damn hot!

This spring season one Anime in particular stood out. If you haven't watched it yet, you might as well.

Sidonia no Kishi (Knights of Sidonia)

This is the best mecha Anime i have ever watched (close call with Blue Gender). The art is totally different, all in a 3D style, quite amazing really.

It's so good that it's been renewed for a second season :).

Very similar to Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) plot wise. Even for a non-mech fan like myself this Anime just blew me away.

More info here.

As for this season, so far a favourite and definitely good looking horror Anime:

Tokyo Ghoul

Now it's been a while since i've seen a good horror Anime and this one looks quite promising. Only started yesterday!

Just my kinda thing :3.

It has a similar feel to Deadman Wonderland, the blood powers. Also it stood out with cannibalism, which doesn't appear much in Anime.

Check it out.

Honorable mention, something i plan on watching which has major hype:

Akame ga Kill!

Sword wielding assassins?? Sounds pretty cool to me. :>

I wasn't planning to watch this one to be honest but with all the hype you think to yourself 'am i going to miss something amazing?'. Then again sadly i made that mistake with Medakucity Actors (a big waste of time, for someone with my tastes).

More about this here.

EDIT: Nope... just nope.

Finally, some other Anime i will be watching this bloody hot summer:

Free! II (appropriate i think :p)
Sword Art Online II
Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus (as you well know one of my favs)

Matanee minna-san! :)

Essential Anime Torrent Sites

I hate watching Anime online.. unless i have to. There are so many groups that do subtitles/rips these days it's hard to find a decent one. I hope i can help some of you :)

Anyway, so here are my recommendations for best Anime (torrent) sites:

1. DeadFish

Best quality subs they take from other people but they make it tidy so to speak. A release might be a few hours/days late but trust me it's worth it! Everything from short series, OVAs, specials and even movies.

2. Nyaa

For a site it has all releases from all subbers including the RAWs and foreign languages. It even has manga, pics and lots more content. It's basically a huge database full of Anime.

3. HorribleSubs

Yes, quite a few people complain about this site... they don't sub they only rip from crunchyroll  etc. remember that. The subs sometimes are not high standard but if you are looking for a quick on-time release this is for you.

4. BakaBT

And finally this one. The only problem here is if you don't seed they ban you -.-. But they have such a huge collection it is a great site. Also similar to Nyaa.

That was my selection of Anime torrent sites :3 use them well!

Friday Night

Friday is my favourite day, i'm sure it's yours too!...

Today is rather special. Kill la Kill finally finished and i'm still in bliss, all i can say is bloody watch it if you haven't already. It is the BEST anime i have ever seen. It tops pretty much everything in my opinion! It's one of a kind, unique... amazing.

Also i totally went insane when i found out this year they are releasing an anime adaption of Kiseijuu (Parasyte), a '90s manga, i own all the volumes and have always hoped one day it would have an anime. So as you can guess i'm really excited for this :3

Coming up this year too are:

Sword Art Online 2
Log Horizon 2
Free! 2
Psycho Pass 2 (a huge favourite)
Mushishi 2 (i love this one <3)
Kuroshitsuji (Book of Circus & Book of Murder) (only problem there is no Grell ;( )
Soul Eater Not! (a side story of Soul Eater)
...and many more new and otherwise!

New Anime of Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)!

Just when i was having a bad day this popped up on my newsfeed! I'm so excited right now :D As you know this is one of my absolute favourite animes of all time.

The cover of the February issue of Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine is announcing on Saturday that production on a new anime series adapting Yana Toboso's Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) manga has been green-lit.
The live-action film adaptation of the manga is also opening on Saturday, and the 18th volume is shipping in Japan on the same day as well.
The manga debuted in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasymagazine in 2006, and its 17 volumes thus far have nearly 18 million copies in print, including those published in 42 countries and territories. The manga already inspired a television anime series in 2008 and a stage play in 2009. A second television series followed in 2010 with a new butler and master. The manga won the top prize in the shōnen manga category of France's Japan Expo Awards in 2010 and the Best International Manga Award in Germany's Animagic in 2011.
- Took from animenewsnetwork.com.

I really hope the story this time will be taken from the manga, if not i'm sure Yana-sensei will come up with something amazing! Also the live action movie will be a good watch (even though apparently Grell isn't in it *cry*).

My Recommendations for the Season

Heya peeps! Just letting you know what i think is awesome Anime-wise this season [fall]...

Watching:

Kill la Kill

As i've said in my earlier post... this is totally amazing.. i love it! :)

Fan service for both guys and girls.. what more could you ask for :3

I recommend everyone give this a shot.... :)

Log Horizon

If you love Sword Art Online you will surely love this one.

Set in a virtual game MMORPG world, Log Horizon has a few flaws but is still very much watchable...

Strike the Blood

I'm still not quite sure what to think of this one. It kind of reminds me of  Blood Lad a bit.

If you love action with a little romance on the side then definitely watch this one.

Coppelion

Post apocalyptic scenery: check. Awesome looking heroins: check. Brilliant story: a flop.... seriously i was looking forward to this :( it had so much potential and i'm sure most otakus would agree with me... maybe if you like weak stories and over the top emotional characters....

... the choice is yours.

Luckily it's only 13 episodes long....

Unbreakable Machine-Doll

Haven't been keeping up with this one, although the story seems pretty interesting....

Puppeteers... sounds good to me :)

Now i know there are loads more Anime out there this season... and i will probably look though them, this is just the list of ones i'm watching at the moment... apart from these ones are: D-gray Man and ofc Naruto Shippuden...

Soon..

I'm back ma peeps.... yea, it's been a while...

I will write a proper review within the week! :)

For now i leave you with my favourite anime of the season: Kill la Kill

*Enough spoilers.... go watch!*

It's funny, sometimes naughty and damn right awesome... but everyone has their tastes i guess ^^ (personally i love it!).

Summer...

I hate summer... mainly because i live in an insanely hot country .. so what anime have i been watching/plan to watch you ask? Well apart from Naruto Shippuden............

Aku No Hana

I completed this the other day. Don't let the first few eps put you off. In fact, it is rather a clever psychological anime with a rather strange style of animation.

8/10

Blood Lad

Recently aired i was waiting for this one for ages! The story grasped me straight away and after reading a bit of the manga i thought, why not?

So far i would give it an 8/10.

Bleach (yes, i've finally started watching it :3)

So after starting Naruto Shippuden i thought why not watch Bleach too. After two seasons of it i am not disappointed. The shinigami captains are just as awesome as akatsuki. :3

9/10

Date A Live

Haven't started this one yet, although i have heard some good things about it. Looks interesting.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge

I almost laughed at the story of this one. Dude with a strange pair of scissors... right. Anyway, i don't leave any anime untouched nowadays. Get back to you when i've watched it!

Free!

A load of anime guys in skimpy swim wear... yes please! I guess thats the only reason i'm gonna watch it so far :3... lets see if the story is good too!

Gatchaman Crowds

The reason i chose this anime was because it's made by the same people who did C, one of my favourite anime. Starting today and i'm sure as hell gonna watch it :)

Hataraku Maou-sama!

This one seems very interesting. From the high scores people are giving it to the story which seems rather cool. I will hopefully be watching it during the summer.

Karneval

I've watched one episode of this so far and i'm not sure what to think. It seems a bit steampunkish. I guess the story will progress a bit more but so far it still has my interest.

Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

Now i would be surprised if you haven't heard of this one. Mostly every otaku has been watching this the past few months. In my opinion it is one of the most awesome anime out there. It deserves to have it's highscore of 9/10...

I give it 10/10 so far... i cannot find any flaws!

Suisei No Gargantia

Haven't started this yet. Looks like a standard mecha anime to me. Although i have heard some people think it's better than Shingeki no Kyojin! We will see...

Uta No Prince Sama 2000%

I absolutely loved the first season of this. Even though part-musicals aren't really my thing it had a big impact on me.

Cannot wait to watch this!!!

So there's my list! What are you watching this summer?! :3
